Every few months when I return home to Utah to visit my family and friends, I have time to squeeze in a few sessions. I was so excited when Madde reached out about a couples session during my visit in late May.
I have known Madde and Connor since before they were dating and I still remember the first night all of us hung out together, driving around Salt Lake (we were freshly 16 or 17), eating Wendy’s frosties and running around the neighborhood park late at night (oh high school…).
Big Cottonwood Canyon, home to Brighton and Solitude ski resorts, seemed like the perfect spot for this shoot. Both Madde and Connor are really into the outdoors and love to ski/snowboard so it only seemed fitting that we shoot a few photos around the ski resorts.
Many couples wait to get professional photos until their engagement or wedding but I think it is so fun to take photos along your journey in life as a couple. It gives you something to look back at and it also is a fun way to bond with your partner.
When I realized Connor had his truck, it only seemed fitting to take some of the two of them sitting in the back.
Madde and Connor are such a sweet couple and great friends of mine, I am so lucky that I get to work with such awesome people in such beautiful settings.
