Susanna and Chris’s sunny, al fresco wedding took place in downtown Oakland at Preservation Park, a beautiful in the heart of the city that has colorful Victorian houses and a big plaza perfect for a summer wedding! Their wedding details, from customized drink coasters to mandarin oranges at each chair, were so thoughtful and reflected their unique personality and history as a couple.
When Susanna and Chris told me that they wanted to have Blue Bottle coffee right after their first look (a Bay Area favorite of mine), I KNEW they were my people! Iced coffee provided the perfect opportunity for Chris and Susanna to cool down, and have a moment to breathe before the wedding festivities continued.
I loved that Susanna and Chris decided to do table photos, but rather than going to each table, they had their guests go to them! This was awesome because they got a photo with every single one of their guests, but they also got to eat and rest their feet—a win win!
What stole the show (other than Susanna and Chris of course) was the ICE CREAM TRUCK. Yep, that’s right folks. They had an ice cream truck with miniature soft serve come during their reception and it was seriously such a highlight (and the ice cream was delicious!)
I hope you enjoy looking through Susanna and Chris’s Oakland wedding at Preservation Park!
